The Association and component chapters provide educational symposia and workshops throughout the year in various locations. These programs and workshops:

  • Inform members of the latest methods of cancer diagnosis, care, treatment, and current trends in incidence and survival
  • Update knowledge on new requirements for cancer reporting and cancer programs
  • Provide opportunities for professional development

FLccSC Updates

New CCR Education Available

  • CCR Audit Cycle 2021/22 – What Came out in the Wash? is available under course category “CCR Educational Training 2023.”
    • This course focuses on the results of quality audits conducted by the California Cancer Registry in the 2021/22 audit cycle and provides education and training for the most common coding issues that were uncovered. Approved for .75 NCRA CEs.

The Fundamental Learning Collaborative for the Cancer Surveillance Community (FLccSC – pronounced “Flossy”) learning management system (LMS) was developed to provide cancer surveillance professionals in a web-based educational platform. Courses are designed for students of all experience/skill levels. There are courses and modules for those that are new to the cancer surveillance field and continuing education courses for the seasoned professional. This is a free service.
