2024 Membership Renewal
The time is now to renew your CCRA membership. Starting February 1st, a late fee of $20.00 will be applied to your membership if not paid by January 31, 2024.
When you join online, you will have the option to pay by mail with a check or pay online with a credit card (AMEX, Discover, MasterCard, or Visa). You will receive two emails once you join – 1) a confirmation email and 2) a registration statement email which serves as your receipt (if you paid by credit card) or invoice (if you plan to pay by check).
If you are paying by check, make your check payable to: KnowledgeConnex, include your invoice # that is on your registration statement email, and mail your check to KnowledgeConnex. The mailing address will be on the registration statement email.
The 2024 Membership Year is effective from January 1, 2024, through December 31, 2024.
There are several types of memberships available:
ACTIVE, REGULAR – $45
An Active Member shall be a Certified Tumor Registrar or a person whose primary occupation is involved with cancer registry, a cancer data management system, cancer program management, cancer research, or other related fields and whose principal place of business or residence is in California.
ACTIVE, PAST CCRA PRESIDENT – $30
ASSOCIATE – $35
An Associate Member shall be any person interested in the purpose of CCRA who does not meet the qualifications of active membership. A Certified Tumor Registrar or cancer data professional no longer employed in the field or whose principal place of business or residence is outside the state of California may apply for associate membership.
DISTINGUISHED ASSOCIATE – $20
The registry profession or whose principal place of business or residence is not in California shall belong to this membership category.
STUDENT – $15
A Student Member shall be a person in an allied health care curriculum who is interested in the purpose of CCRA but does not meet the qualifications for active membership.
A Student Member shall be eligible for this classification of membership for no more than one consecutive three-year period. A Student member shall not vote, hold office, or chair a committee, but may be appointed to serve on a committee. These members shall pay annual dues in accordance with the Standing Rules.
HONORARY – $0
Any person, not a member of CCRA, who has made a significant contribution to the profession of Cancer Registry Administration or rendered distinguished service in the profession, or its related fields may be elected to Honorary Membership by a two-thirds (2/3) vote of the voting members present at the Annual Business Meeting of the membership, his/her name having been recommended by the Board of Directors.
Become a Volunteer
Beginning in 2024, the CCRA will be starting the California Student Success Initiative. This initiative will be open to all California CIM/CRM students.
Purpose: to prepare CIM/CRM students entering the Cancer Registry field.
Volunteering will support the future California CTRs.
CTR volunteers have several different roles to choose from:
- Mentoring
- Tutoring
- Zoom Panels
- Mock Interviews
- Resume Review
- Networking
- Virtual Registry Tours
- How to use Google to your advantage
- Develop scholarship funds and criteria
- Participate in developing initiative guidelines
